Break out the sequins and prepare to dance! The national Velvet Rewired tour - starring iconic singer Marcia Hines - is starting in the River City, from November 16 in the Raine & Horne Wynnum Spiegletent at the Wynnum Fringe.

Velvet Rewired  is a big, bold, and beautiful production staring Marcia Hines as The Diva, the award-winning performer Joe Accaria as The DJ and the spectacular Craig Reid as Hula Boy.

Craig joins the Australian cast of Velvet Rewired direct from Las Vegas and a season of Absinthe in a Spiegeltent production at Caeser’s Palace.

And in a Queensland fashion collaboration, Marcia Hines is working with Rachel Burke for feature pieces to wear during the shows.

A spokesperson for the show said: "When considering how to best to join forces with a creative, and champion the work of an Australian artist, Ms Hines discovered the fabulously flamboyant work of Brisbane’s Rachel Burke.

"In keeping with the circus theme of 'Velvet Rewired' the collaboration will feature a jacket designed and created by Marcia Hines and Rachel Burke and will be worn by Ms Hines in Brisbane.  It promises to be a true trip to Wonderland," the spokesperson said.

Rachel Burke is a practicing multidisciplinary artist, designer, and author based in Brisbane, Australia. Known for her vibrant, tactile designs and iconic tinsel creations, her work is inspired by a love for naive craft materials and transforming the mundane into the magical.
